KCL Day of the Dead Poetry and Illustration contest

The King’s College London Mexican and Latin American Societies are inviting all the members of our university, students, teachers and staff, as well as our associate external members to participate in a poetry and illustration contest. 

1. The only requirement is to be part of King’s College London or to be an external KCL Mexican Society associate member. (Join us here!)
2. The entry to the contest is free.
3. Participants must submit either a “Calaverita-style” poem (no more than 1 page long) or a Day of the Dead illustration. The poems can either be in English or in Spanish with an English translation. 
4. The winners of each category will receive a small prize and will be published in our blog.
5. The winners will be announced during our Day of the Dead celebration on November 9, where we will read the best pieces of poetry, give the prices, and display the illustrations.
6. You can send your poetry to our email: [email protected]. We can receive your scanned illustrations via email or the originals in person. If you want to give us your illustration in person, please contact us via email or Facebook.
7. The deadline for submissions is November 8 at 5pm.
